Donald B. Toomer
Starting Date: 4/1/1978
Don first started part time from 1974 to 1977 working on the golf
course, cemetery, and parks. After starting full time in 1978 he took
care of the parks and golf course for a couple of years and then was
promoted to the water department. He also helped out on the streets
and sewer departments. In 1982 he was promoted to equipment
operator. He was head equipment operator until 1994 when the
previous superintendent, Wendell Feinauer, retired. He was then
promoted to superintendent. Don was born here in Montpelier. He lived
here most of his life except for a brief period in Conda Idaho and
Pocatello Idaho. He graduated from Bear Lake High School in 1975,
and then went to college at ISU where he took drafting and design
technology & drafting and design/machine structural option. He
graduated from college in 1977. Don married Clara Lee Smith in 1981.
They have two boys, Mitchel and Charles. He loves flying model
airplanes, camping, fishing, riding 4 wheelers, being with friends and
family, and working on the house and yard.
Don is a state certified water and wastewater operator.

Bart Jensen
Starting Date: 11/21/1983
Besides being crew foreman Bart is the head equipment operator
and works in all departments. Bart has lived in Montpelier his whole
life. Bart is married to Julie Knutti. They have two boys, Eric and Colten.
Wayne Hanson
Starting Date: 6/16/1983
Wayne graduated from Pocatello High School and married his high
school sweetheart, Sandi. They have been married for 40 years. They
have 11 children, Cassie, Mike, Clinton, Nikki, Michelle, Ben, Ryan,
Wayne Jr., Orin, Jacob, and Logan. He served 4 years in the U. S.
Marine Corps, including a tour in Vietnam. He graduated from ISU
from their Diesel Mechanics program. Wayne is currently our
Wastewater Operator in charge of the sewer system. He also plows
snow in the winter. He enjoys working with computers. He likes
hunting and reloading. He enjoys spending time with and hauling
firewood with his boys. He loves to make things out of wood. He also
loves to read and two of his favorite authors are Tom Clancy and
Louis L’ Amour. Wayne is a State Certified Wastewater Class II
Operator in both collections and treatment.
Karl Parker

Darrell Nate
Starting Date: 8/8/1994
Darrell takes care of all the parks, grass areas along 4th St, City Hall
and equipment, and plows snow. Darrell lives in Montpelier and is
married to Mary Sorensen. They have a son Ryan and four
grandchildren. He graduated from Bear Lake High School and then
went to ISU Vo-Tech in Auto Mechanics. Darrell enjoys working on
cars, hunting, fishing, and riding motorcycles.
Eric Hansen

Eric i
s in training to take over the sewer department and also helps
out in all
other departments. Eric is married to Lisa Bunn and they
have 3 children, Carden, Mequette, and Mariska. He graduated from
Bear Lake High School in 1997. He worked for a while at Jacobsen
Inc. Eric enjoys hunting, fishing, and camping with his family and
friends. Eric loves to make fly rods for himself and others. Eric is a
state certified water & waste water operator.
John Petersen
Starting Date: 6/7/2010
John was born in Price UT on Aug 25, 1986. Moved to Montpelier in
1990 and has lived here since. He graduated from Bear Lake High
School in Falls. After college he got married and took a job in Garden
City, UT working construction, where gained experience running
heavy equipment and working with utilities. He continues to do
freelance graphics from home. He likes to hunt, fish, and hang out
with his son Jaxyn. John is a state certified water operator.
